You know the sort. A lovely photo of 12 people standing around an office, followed by names like Head of Growth, Chief Product Officer and VP of Something Important.
Well... we don’t quite have that.
Founder, developer-wrangler, salesperson, customer support, product designer, tester, marketing department and the person who’ll probably reply to your email.
You could call it multitasking. You could also call it a severe lack of delegation.
VaultHQ came from actually working around gymnastics clubs and seeing how much time gets swallowed up by the boring stuff.
Rotas living in spreadsheets. Holiday requests going backwards and forwards. Qualifications being tracked manually. Someone can’t work Tuesday, so suddenly you’re scrolling through group chats trying to find a coach who’s free, qualified and hasn’t already been asked three times.
There had to be a better way.
So I started building one.
VaultHQ is designed to bring all of that into one place — rotas, leave, attendance, compliance and Smart Cover — without turning it into some enormous corporate HR system that requires a training course just to work out where Dave’s holiday request went.
VaultHQ might currently have a team of one, but the ambition definitely isn’t small.
I’m building the kind of platform I would actually want to use: clean, quick, simple and genuinely useful. Every feature should either save time, remove hassle or make running a team easier. If it doesn’t, it probably doesn’t need to be there.
And because there isn’t a giant company between you and the person building the product, feedback doesn’t disappear into a mysterious “we’ve passed this on to the relevant team” black hole.
I am the relevant team.
